Love this but webgen and txtgen more than just millenials should get credits. Also, my prediction is that this trend will not last as we move back to verbal mode with the upcoming voice-control tsunami which will undoubtedly develop its own language mutation.
I’m personally witnessing the Cantonesation or Chinesation of English through removal of many words to express oneself in specific contexts. For instance “can” is an efficient way to fully answer a question although westerners might need the lag or breathing-room that the many-word answer provides to compute and reflect on the next step in the conversation.
